Birthday Books

There are many wonderful things about April: daffodills, forsythia and pansies (ooh I love the little johnny jump-ups). That wet mud smell, that warm sun over the cold dampness {hot fudge sundae}. And my birthday month (why not celebrate for an entire month?)

This was what I wanted for my birthday: a big box o'books. I spent a good bit of time choosing a cart-full of books from Amazon. I think I had as much fun choosing as I will have reading. Jon packed them all up in one big box, as requested. After a lovely birthday brunch, a big cup of tea was poured and I opened my box. Oh joy. This will definitely last me a while. Yum.

A yummy brunch, a hot cuppa and a 'read thru lunch'. A perfect birthday! I relate.

Happy birthday, Diana! I wish you good health and fulfillment in everything you undertake in the new year of your life.
I am a huge book lover myself and want always at least one book for birthdays, Christmas etc... I guess I would start with "Exhibition 36".

Happy Birthday month! And what a great way to celebrate. Tea, books and a hot fudge sundae (yeeeeuummmm)! I love books (and magazines, yikes). They're the best presents. The second best present would be the gift of time to pour over them. I never seem to do as much of that as I want. Enjoyyyy :)!

Happy Birthday! When I turned 60, I declared it a Birthday Year, which I intend to have every "5" and "0" year from now on. I also indulge in Birthday Months for all the other years.

nothing better than a good cup of tea and a book. To have a box of books? Maybe that is better!

What a fun birthday! Speaking of books, I just finished reading yours (mutiple times and still think I missed so much) after checking it out from the library. It's great! I'm going to have to add it to my "wishlist" for the future!
