Flag Book Video and Paste Paper

I love paste paper. Yummy. I love the color, moving tools through the paste leaving patterns behind. Finding new tools to use is one part of the fun and last weekend's visit to the Moving Sale provided some unexpected tool makers. I had a class on Paste Paper and introduction to Flag Books this week and here are some of their results.
Textile, brush, skewer

Brush, scraper, foam brush

Flagbooks are an excellent way to use paste paper (and a very good reason to make paste paper). Here are some pics of a flagbook I made. Still photos just don't justify these little burst of activity so I decided to make a video of the process so you could watch the thing in motion and while it was being made

an inside peek!

Hello Diana, I just bought your book and now I am visiting your blog. Love that flag book, thanks for the video. I haven't gone through the whole book yet, maybe you cover the flag book in it? I'll find out. It would be a good project for my creativity group. Just wanted to say Hi and thanks for all the interesting info. Now I am off to my studio to work on projects from your book.

Hi Diana,

I purchased "Journal Spilling" and one of your handmade journals from you recently, and just wanted you to know how much I love your book. I like making so many things and journaling is something I love but have a hard time "spilling" I have completed two pages in my new book so far that I bought from you and need to unleash my "spilling soul" much much more.
Thanks so much for this tutorial on the Flag book I loved watching you in action!! Oh yes I am also interested in Slowcloth and would like to get started on that too. Thanks so much for all of the inspiration and I wish you a great weekend!

Me again. Just been looking at your blog past. I have been making a lot of slow cloths lately too, I just call them doodles. What shall we do with them all? For now I just stick them up on my design wall and enjoy them.

Loved the video (even though it had the right side chopped off). My friend Kate has signed up for one of your classes at your home and I'm very jealous; wish I lived in commuting distance.

It was certainly interesting for me to read the article. Thanx for it. I like such themes and anything that is connected to them. I would like to read more soon.
