MamaCita is a Philadelphia area cooperative of women artists. This exhibit exemplifies our philosophy that the group is a collection of individual artists working together in a spirit of collaboration (from the invitation).

I look forward to sharing photos from this show with you. If you are in the area, we'd love to have you at the opening on Dec 11 or Saturday, Dec. 4 from 9:30 am to1:30 pm, Abington Art Center is hosting a CoffeeBreak. Five bucks gets you coffee, pastry and conversation about art with members of MamaCita. Members are free! Great idea.

Starting this Sunday, I will be doing a monthly book review on art and craft books. Wheeee! There is a pile of books sitting here that I've been pawing through. The hardest decision is deciding which will be first! Journal Bliss by Violette? Collage Playground by Kimberly Santiago? or perhaps Doodle Diary by  Dawn DeVries Sokol ... Or maybe a new book from the editors at Northlight, Mixed Media Paintbox, a "best of" with 52 projects from 45 artists, myself included. Yikes. It eeney meeney miney moe time.
