During the sorting of the past couple of weeks, unfinished pieces of art floated up to the surface. How does this happen? I start pieces and they get buried. This is the way I work: Start a piece, then another and another and see which one starts to "work." The other two (or 3) just get buried. So this is a new pile in my bin: WIPs. Maybe I will finish some of them? What do you do with yours?

Yummy collage, I love to see your messy surface, then I feel at home. xox Corrine
lovin it.
I try to keep a list of my WIP along with where I put it. This works OK for me, but I can't always find them because they get moved and I don't amend my list.
LOVING the colours and the looks of all the papers...!!!
I like the idea of keeping a list of WIPs. I do the same thing you do - bury them. Or put them somewhere else in the studio to be found months later.
I have a wire basket and put all wip in it, with bulldogs clips, bags, folders whatever it works for me, and then when I want something to work on , I just pull it out.
I really inspired with your post. Great work.
LOL!!! I do the same thing! Always circling back when I realized I have moved past a piece after having explored beyond. I should build a stand with multiple levels with wire clips to hang from that could rotate so I could frequently revisit them as I am working.
Ha. Yes, I am trying to exercise my memory so that I will remember such things as unfinished artwork without it being right under my nose!
