Dateline: Thursday, 10:50 pm (ET). I have just finished the last of the stars for what has become my version of the Funky Star Quilt from Material Obsession. I began this journey at the very beginning of June, read all about it here. Nearly four months ago.
I've learned the following things about myself:
I always change my mind.
I really don't like repetitive work.
I had a lot of quarter-yards of fabric
(these three things should have informed me about the next thing)
I'm not much of a stick-to-it type (at least not gracefully).
Yeah, those quilters! They are a really stick-to-it bunch, aren't they? Healthy new respect.
I pictured myself cozily sewing the summer away. In reality, I like to keep my sewing projects small so they can be finished in a reasonable amount of time and I prefer hand sewing. I'm sick to death of making funky stars. That last one? I was cursing like a sailor. Really.
PS: Teddy likes: paper, fabric and sleeping in the best chair in the house. We are a match!
